Since the beginning of 2024, the University of Münster has established the EU Mentoring Network, an advisory and support programme that encourages early-career researchers (R2 and R3) to make earlier and more frequent use of EU application formats, in particular ERC Starting Grants, as effective funding instruments. It thus makes a significant contribution to promoting the development of the scientific careers of early-career researchers and strengthening the international reputation of the University of Münster through its involvement in EU-funded projects. The EU Mentoring Network is coordinated by Nicola Willenberg at the Centre for Europe in close cooperation with ERS GmbH.

  Nicola Willenberg is a project manager at Centrum Europa. She studied at the University of Münster and Swansea University (Wales). She has successfully coordinated various projects at the University of Münster and HHU and acquired corresponding third-party funding.
