Review Meeting YOUNG_ADULLLT Project in Brussels

Interdisciplinary EU project with positiv evaluation

The Horizon 2020 collaborative project YOUNG_ADULLLT ("Policies Supporting Young People in Their Life Course. A Comparative Perspective of Lifelong Learning and Inclusion in Education and Work in Europe") was positively evaluated by the European Commission after the first year. The project is coordinated by Professor Marcelo Parreira do Amaral - Professor of International and Comparative Education at the Institute of Education Science of the WWU Muenster.

The coordination and project management teams from Münster, the heads of the various project studies, a representative of REA (Research Executive Agency) and the external reviewers met at the end of April for an intensive two-day workshop in the representation of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Brussels. In particular, the research design and first findings of the conducted policy analyses were critically discussed. In its second year the project is going to focus on qualitative and quantitative field work.

The interdisciplinary project involves 15 partners from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom; researchers from different disciplines of education science as well as from sociology and psychology. The study focuses on measures of lifelong learning (LLL), which are designed to support young adults in transition from school to work. The aim of the project is to identify best practices and patterns of coordinating policy-making at local and regional level.
