WWU presented innovative research in Brussels

The WWU Münster has showcased innovative Green Tech research at the summer reception of the North Rhine-Westphalia state representation in Brussels
Sommerfest der NRW-Landesvertretung in Brüssel

On September 6th, under the theme “MÜNSTERLAND. THE GOOD LIFE.” around 1,200 guests from politics, business and the media came together at the NRW state representation to the EU to get to know the Münsterland. At the beginning of the event, NRW Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst addressed the visitors with a welcoming address. At the street festival with musical acts, culinary specialties and halls with a thematic focus, the guests of the summer festival were able to learn more about the Münsterland: as a GreenTech region with successful cross-border cooperation, as a palace and castle region with interesting culturally and historically significance.

The WWU showcased innovative research in the field of “rubber from dandelions” and battery research. Both the sustainable Taraxagum tires made from dandelion developed by the AG Prof. Dr. Dirk Prüfer and the battery cell production from MEET attracted attention.
