WWU Centre for Europe hosts CEREPS Summit 2017
CEREPS

The CEREPS Summit 2017 takes place in Brussels from 27 to 29 June 2017. The two-day event focuses on "implementation and outcome of healthy after-school programs in Europe". CEREPS (Conseil européen des recherches en éducation physique et sportive) is a European wide non-profit research network that is concerned with the development and cooperation of joint projects in the field of school and club sport for children and adolescents in the EU.

The WWU Centre for Europe is proud to host the summit in the Representation of North Rhine-Westphalia in Brussels. Participants from 18 European countries attend the event and deliver a truly European perspective on the subject. The European Commission is represented by two keynote lectures on health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) in European school systems and the current EU youth policy.

The conference was prepared with the support of the Institute for Sport Science of the WWU, the Gebhardt-Institut e.V. in Muenster and the WWU Centre for Europe. Dr Roman Walega, head of the Brussels office and Professor Nils Neuber, director of the Institute of Sport Science, welcome the participants. Professor Roland Naul and Nils Neuber will present the German view on health promotion through physical activity, play and sport in a full-day school scenario.
