Continued EU Funding for International Geospatial Technologies Masters Programme

Around 2.4 million euros over the coming years / Institute of Geoinformatics at Muenster University celebrates ten years of coordinating the course

Armenia, Brazil, the USA, China, Columbia, East Timor, Jamaica … more than 400 students from over 40 countries have already taken part in the international Geospatial Technologies masters course funded by the European Commission. Exactly ten years after the first funding was approved, another piece of good news from the EU Commission has now arrived at the Institute of Geoinformatics at Münster University. In a highly competitive contest, the EU experts selected the Institute’s masters course as a recipient of further funding.

List of Horizon 2020 expert evaluators published

The European Commission has published the lists of experts who evaluated project proposals for the calls of the 2015 Work Programme. According to the Horizon 2020 Rules for Participation, the Commission is obliged to publish the names of proposal evaluators at least once per year after the completion of the respective evaluation processes.

Evaluators are chosen by the Commission based on an expert data base. Interested candidates can register in this data base at any time.

Launch of WWU Centre for Europe

Bringing together WWU researchers with a European research focus

Just before Christmas, on 22 December 2015, researchers of the University of Muenster (WWU), with a common intrest in collaborative Euopean research and teaching met in the Senate Hall to launch the WWU Centre for Europe. All attending researcher are involved in research and/or teaching with European partners, networks and consortia. The intention of a WWU Centre for Europe is to consolidate the numerous European activities of WWU scientists and to engage directly with European decision makers.
