EU supports Münster's aspirations of climate neutrality

City of Münster selected as one of the "100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030“
EU Missions

Earlier this year, the EU launched a competition with the aim of selecting 100 cities that will lead the way in implementing the Green Deal and achieving climate neutrality by 2030. The city of Münster took part in this competition and was selected. Münster is now one of the EU's "100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030".

Event series “Third-party funding in a nutshell”

Several dates from 14.2.-24.2.2022

The event series “Third-party funding in a nutshell” of the WWU's Department of Research Affairs will take place in mid-February 2022 (webseminar via Zoom) and is aimed at researchers of Faculties 1 - 4 and 6 - 15. The focus of the individual events is e.g. on funding possibilities, practical information on how to apply for funding as well as legal and administrative aspects of third-party funding. In this semester most events will be held in English.

Awarding of the first EUREGIO-Chair

On October 14 and 15, the Universities of Münster and Twente, in cooperation with the start-up centers REACH and Novel-T, will honor for the first time successful founders for their entrepreneurship and innovative strength with the REACH EUREGIO-CHAIR. Following their appointment to the CHAIR, the high-profile award winners will hold workshops and seminars in the Euregio start-up region, bringing their start-up knowledge and unique practical experience to our lecture halls.

Fellowships for female top-level postdocs

The WiRe-Women in Research fellowship programme of the University of Münster’s Welcome Centre is excited to again offer several WiRe Fellowships for international female postdoctoral researchers. WiRe was founded to address the unique needs of women in research with a special focus on female Postdocs. Throughout the duration of the fellowship, participants conduct their research in cooperation with a professor at the University of Münster (WWU) in Germany.

Religious Studies Infrastructure RESILIENCE in the ESFRI Roadmap 2021

On June 30th, 2021, the ESFRI Forum included RESILIENCE in the Research Infrastructure Roadmap 2021. This means that RESILIENCE will take its place in the strategic Research Infrastructures for the European Research Area and that it can work on the further development of the Research Infrastructure for Religious Studies.
