This year, the annual European Academy of Management took place in June, from 21 to 24, in Glasgow. Besides presenting a paper, Münster University's Chair of Organization, Human Resource Management and Innovation oranised an own track for the first time.

European sport scientists meet in Brussels

WWU Centre for Europe hosts CEREPS Summit 2017
CEREPS

The CEREPS Summit 2017 takes place in Brussels from 27 to 29 June 2017. The two-day event focuses on "implementation and outcome of healthy after-school programs in Europe". CEREPS (Conseil européen des recherches en éducation physique et sportive) is a European wide non-profit research network that is concerned with the development and cooperation of joint projects in the field of school and club sport for children and adolescents in the EU.

Prof. Eric Schulze-Bahr und Ellen Schulze-Bahr vom IfGH

The European Union established European Reference Networks (ERM) of rare and complex diseases to secure special and interdiscplinary care. For this, optimal networking is necessary. The genetecists for heart diseases from the University of Münster are now a member of this European Reference Network and part of such a highly speacilized network.

Idea Mining on the topic of "Generation Europe"

At the end of the European Week of 2017, the WWU Centre for Europe organized a major idea mining on the topic of "Generation Europe". More than 50 students from completely different disciplines worked a whole day to develop ideas for, about and with Europe for their generation and with reference to the  WWU Münster. A wide range of ideas and aspects have emerged as to what the current generation of students thinks about Europe, what wishes they have to the EU and what issues to consider. Thanks to all participants!

CrowdEquality: Idea Crowdsourcing Platform developed at the Department of Information Systems is ‘live’

Within the EQUAL-IST project (“Gender Equality Plans for Information Sciences and Technology Research Institutions”, funded by the EU in the Horizon 2020 programme) an idea crowdsourcing platform has been developed by the team of eight Information Systems Bachelor students as part of their project seminar in Winter Semester 2016/17.

University of Münster's projects for the Week of Europe 2017 in NRW are rewarded

The projects "Ideen-Mining Generation Europa" and "Citizen Sciences" are presented on 11th and 12th of May

80 projects for the week of europe were rewarded by the NRW-ministre of Europe Franz-Josef Lersch-Mense in Germany's federal state North-Rhine Westfalia. Among those, there are two projects submitted by the Universtiy of Münster. The thematic core of the projects is social and digital change in Europe.

The two successful projects developed by WWU institutions are "Ideen-Mining Generation Europa" by the WWU Centre Europe and "Citizen Sciences - ein Motor für Integration, Partizipation und Demokratisierung von Wissenschaft in Europa?" by AFO.
